Metro's Gaynor Marshall joins Global Radio

Gaynor Marshall, producer of Steve and Karen’s Breakfast Show on Bauer’s Metro Radio and TFM, is joining cross-town rivals at Global Radio.

Gaynor has been appointed as Deputy Managing Editor at Heart and Capital North East and leaves Bauer after three and a half years there.

Whilst at Bauer, Gaynor produced Alan Robson’s Nightowls programme and stood in as cover presenter, but the new position marks a return to Global’s North East HQ at Team Valley, where she worked for GMG Radio, most recently as breakfast producer.

She wrote on her public Facebook: “After 3 and half years working for he station I grew up listening to it’s time to say Goodbye to Metro Radio. Bermuda, Prague, Ghost Hunts, presenting Nightowls, a World Cup single, Winning loads of awards including Sony Gold are just a few of the highlights. Not to mention working with absolute legends Alan Robson, Steve Furnell & Karen Wight plus the amazing team at Metro. It’s been one hell of an adventure with the best memories!”
