UTV’s North West radio stations off-air

A power outage at Orrell Lodge, home of Tower FM, Wire FM and Wish FM, meant all three stations have been off-air during the peak Monday morning period.

It is thought the incident happened at 7am, since then numerous posts on Facebook and Twitter have confirmed the situation, with Wire FM presenter Dominic Walker posting this video on the station’s official Facebook page.

Wish FM posted this message: “Apologies, but technical problems at our studios in Wigan mean usual programming has been affected. We’ll be back with Atko at Breakfast as soon as we can.”

Meanwhile, Tower FM breakfast presenter Glen Hunt posting this apology on the station’s Facebook page.
