Heart London breakfast presenters Jamie Theakston and Emma Bunton are the new hosts of the Arqiva Commercial Radio Awards this year, replacing Christian O’Connell.
The event will be moving to a new venue as well, the Roundhouse in London’s Camden Town, and will take place on Wednesday July 8th.
Full details of the awards categories will be available at commercialradioawards.org when entries open on February 17th. This year will see a new category, the Innovation Award for the best ‘new idea’ whether digital, station operation, or ways to generate more revenue.
Siobhan Kenny, Chief Executive of RadioCentre said: “The Arqiva Awards have been given a fresh twist, making the evening a truly centrepiece event in the commercial radio calendar, bringing the industry together to celebrate its innovation, talents and achievements.”
Lisa Kerr has been reappointed as Chair of Judges.
Entries will open on February 17th and close on March 20th, with nominations announced in early May.
The RadioCentre conference, as in previous years, will also take place on the same day as the awards, July 8th, with the venue for the conference to be announced shortly.
