Panjab Radio joining Bradford & Huddersfield

The Bradford & Huddersfield multiplex will be getting two extra services in the next few weeks – Panjab Radio and Asian Sound Radio.

Panjab Radio will be the same output as the service on DAB in Birmingham, Coventry and
Wolverhampton. The station says it will embrace Panjabi culture and language with spiritual music and the celebration of festivals for a variety of religions. The service will be broadcast in Panjabi and English languages.

Asian Sound Radio was granted permission previously but was due to expire. An updated request to add the station to the multiplex says it will expand its East Lancashire service in February or March.
