Matt, Polly and Geraint from Capital FM South Wales will host the I Love Student Radio Awards in Exeter this year.
The breakfast show presenters have been named as host of the event at the Student Radio Conference after Capital FM South Wales’ owner Communicorp UK agreed to support it for the next three years.
The awards, not to be confused with the Student Radio Awards, recognise those people and stations who go the extra mile, putting in time, effort and creativity behind the scenes, and whose commitment to student radio is unprecedented. The conference this year is being held in Exeter from 20th – 22nd April, with the awards taking place at the University of Exeter on 21st April.
Neil Sloan, Programme Controller at Capital South Wales, who is also a guest speaker at the conference said: “This is a great opportunity to meet the stars of the future and the awards do a fantastic job in recognising the hard work, effort and talent in student radio. We are excited about supporting the awards and being involved in developing and nurturing the industry’s future talent.”
Oliver Ing, Marketing Officer at Student Radio Association, said: “We’re all about students meeting the industry experts and recognising the talents of those individuals passionate about student radio and the I Love Student Radio Awards do just that.
“We are thrilled to have Communicorp UK supporting us. They are the newest and fourth largest commercial radio group in the UK and home to some of the most exciting brands in UK radio. Having them on board is a great opportunity for us to work together to help our members further their passions for radio.”
