Sunrise secures long term deal with Colors TV

Hindi language Indian general entertainment channel Colors TV has signed a long term deal with Sunrise Radio to sponsor the ‘What’s on TV Tonight’ feature.

The feature is broadcast seven days a week and gives the Sunrise listener a snapshot of some of the best TV viewing each evening as chosen by Sunrise Radio Presenters.

Tony Lit, MD of Sunrise Radio said: “It’s great to have Colors as the sponsor of ‘What’s on TV Tonight’, they really understand entertainment. Everyone has their favourite TV shows or films, but not everyone has time to check or remembers when they’re on. I’m certainly one of these people, so ‘What’s on TV Tonight’ does this for you.”

Indiacast Europe Business Head Govind Shahi added: “At Colors we have always believed in innovation being the key driver in creating brand recall. Moving away from conventional 30 second spot advertising in a highly cluttered scenario, this initiative will thus serve as a medium for Colors’ programmes to get prominent and focused awareness and recall.

“We are happy to partner with Sunrise Radio in the launch of this innovation, ‘What’s on TV Tonight, which is a quick and ready reckoner for viewers to make a note of their favourite programs across TV channels”

Sunrise Radio has also announced today that Indo European Foods Ltd, the UK based subsidiary of Kohinoor Foods Ltd, has renewed its annual sponsorship of the Sunrise Radio Drive-time Show hosted by Sonia Dutta. In addition, Indo European Foods will also sponsor this year’s Ramadan programming with their brand Kohinoor which will run alongside the Drive-time sponsorship.

Sunrise Radio is currently facing stiff competition for its AM licence in London from five other companies.
