Former Radio 1 DJ Mark Goodier, who founded the independent production company Wise Buddah, has announced he’s taking over the day-to-day running of the business as Group CEO.
Mark was previously Chairman, having taken a step back in 2010 from his previous role as MD due to daily presenting commitments with Smooth Radio.
He will now head up the next phase of the company’s development. As well as making radio programmes, Wise Buddah has a talent division, post-production and studios division and a jingles and imaging division.
The changes come at the same time as the departure of Wise Buddah Creative MD Dave Holt, who is leaving the company this summer after more than a decade, the last four as a Managing Director. Dave, who’s going to take up an opportunity to lead a tech startup in Bangkok, said: “I’d like to thank Mark and everyone at Wise Buddah for a fantastic 10 and a half years, I will miss it massively, but it’s time for a change and I’m hugely excited to take up the challenge launching the first of hopefully a number of businesses in the software and media sector in Asia.”
Mark Goodier said: “Dave has done a terrific job setting the company up for the future, we have fantastic teams in the group who innovate and deliver to a very high standard.”
Wise Buddah is going to recruit a new Operations Manager to work across the group, while internal promotions see Natalie Holiday become Manager of Wise Buddah Voices and Jon Last take on the role of Director of Audio.
