Radio 1 gets rockin’ this month with special content and live performances in the week leading up to Download Festival.

Radio 1’s rock presenter Daniel P Carter dropped into Annie Mac’s show on Wednesday night to announce details of ‘Radio 1 Rocks’ that will run from 7th – 14th June and include a Slipknot documentary, a live Maida Vale session featuring performances from Bullet For My Valentine, Black Peaks and PVRIS, rock themed Live Lounges, and a day full of rock music.

Daniel said: “This week is always a huge one in the rock calendar. It’s one of my favourite weeks of the year. And the bands we have playing! PVRIS, Enter Shikari, Black Peaks, Refused and Bullet For My Valentine. Seriously, what’s not to like.”
