BBC Radio 1’s Nick Grimshaw has been confirmed as a judge on the ITV show The X Factor.
Nick has been rumoured to replace Louis Walsh on the show for the last few weeks but he’s stayed silent on the news.
ITV has released the news today, saying Rita Ora will also join the panel.
Nick said: “I love X Factor and have watched the series religiously since it started, so obviously I’m hugely excited to be joining the show. Music is my job and my passion and I’m really looking forward to seeing what talent we can find and nurture this year. I can’t wait for Judges Houses in Oldham!”
The best kept secret in TV is out!! But I am really happy with the new judging line up for XFactor this year. Its going to be a lot of fun

Nick Grimshaw is 30 years old and replaced Chris Moyles on the Radio 1 Breakfast Show in September 2012. He’s been with the station since 2007, originally joining as a host for the youth programme Switch. He then went on to host weekend breakfast show and the late show.
Here’s Nick chatting to Simon Cowell last year.
