Paul Gillies & Emily Segal gone from Capital FM

Capital South Coast breakfast presenters Paul Gillies and Emily Segal, known as Gillies and Emily on-air, have left the station.

The pair were last on-air Friday 12th June, and made no mention of it being their last show. Meanwhile, drivetime presenter Adam Inker has been on breakfast ever since, whilst weekend presenter Jono Holmes covers drive.

All mentions of the presenters have been removed from Capital’s website and their twitter username, @gilliesandemily has been deactivated. Emily has also changed her username from @Emily_Capital to @Emily_Segal.

Emily joined Gillies on breakfast in January 2013. Paul Gillies has been hosting the show since 2007 when it was known as Power FM, before becoming Galaxy and finally Capital. He previously presented the evening show on Capital London.

A Capital spokesperson has confirmed the news to RadioToday, saying: “Gillies and Emily have left Capital Breakfast. We’d like to thank them for waking up our listeners on the South Coast and we wish them all the best for the future. We will announce the new Capital Breakfast line-up in due course.”
