Jamie Crick is taking over the breakfast show each weekday on Jazz FM, replacing Lynn Parsons.
He starts the new show in October, on the station which returns to a national terrestrial platform next year on D2. Jamie has most recently been presenting a request show on Jazz FM for the last 12 months, and before that spend over 20 years at Classic FM.
Jamie says “I’ve always wanted to work for Jazz FM; the music is fantastic and I can’t think of a better way to start the day. The thought of playing the likes of Miles, Monk and Metheny every morning, alongside exciting newer talents like Robert Glasper, Snarky Puppy and Esperanza Spalding fills me with genuine excitement. I love jazz for the energy and vitality we all need to get out of bed in the morning.”
Content Director Nick Pitts added “I’m delighted that someone of Jamie’s calibre is taking the reins of our breakfast show to present amazing music from the greats of jazz, blues and soul whilst framing the day with the information we all need to hear in the morning. What great news to share in Jazz FM’s 25th anniversary year.”
Jamie Crick will be on air between 0630 and 1000 every weekday morning on Jazz FM from 5th October. Lynn Parsons started the breakfast show 12 months ago, after replacing John Osborne.
