No more DAB digital radio for The Beach

The Beach is being removed from the Now Digital DAB multiplex in Norwich from next week.

The contract to run the station on DAB has come to an end and is not being renewed after 28th September.

Ofcom agreed for the station to discontinue its DAB service, saying the variation would not unacceptably narrow the range of programmes available by way of local digital sound programme services to persons living in the area or locality for which the licensed multiplex service is provided.

The Beach covers North Suffolk and East Norfolk on 103.4 FM and on 97.4FM and is currently owned by The Anglian Radio Group.
