Entries now open for the IRN Awards 2016

Submissions are now welcome to be entered in the IRN Awards 2016, which will be handed out in London next year.

IRN Awards entry is free but only open to IRN Newslink client stations – with the exception of the Student Journalist of the Year category – and the entry must comprise material recorded originally between 1st December 2014 and 31st December 2015.

The categories for 2016 are:

  • News Team/Newsroom of the Year (hubs or station under or over 1M TSA)
  • Best News Special or Feature
  • Best Entertainment Coverage
  • Reporter of the Year
  • Newsreader of the Year (under or over 1M TSA)
  • Best Interview
  • Best Sports Coverage
  • Newcomer of the Year
  • Student Journalist of the Year

The entry deadline is 8th January 2016 and the deadline for the Student category is 22nd January 2016. See IRNAwards.co.uk for more details.

The winners will be announced at the Century Club in London on Thursday 10th March 2016.
