Dave Foxx, known to many UK producers for his imaging and voice work, is leaving Z100 after almost 30 years.
Dave originally went to New York from Baltimore to host middays on the stations in 1987 but ended up in the production studio instead, making imaging, commercials and more.
Dave will concentrate on teaching radio imaging and production and continue his own production and voice services.
He’s written a blog about his time at WHTZ and explained the reason for quitting: “So, why did I drop a letter of resignation on Friday the 13th of November 2015? It was time. Maybe even a little past time.
“After 28 and a half years of making magic, I’ve decided it’s time to start teaching in earnest. To show the new young Turks how to make that magic. I’ve been threatening to write a book for at least 15 years, but never seemed to have the time to do it. Now I will.”
