Global has confirmed to RadioToday the presenters who are leaving the station ahead of a rebrand to Capital.
Drivetime presenter and former Programme Controller at the Liverpool station, Mark Kaye, will leave, along with Late Show presenter Darren Spence and weekend presenters Liam Hincks and Ian Longo.
Darren will continue his programme on Heart North Wales (owned by Communicorp) and Global says it hopes to find other opportunities within the group for the others.
The statement to RadioToday suggests the current ‘big’ breakfast show – hosted by Adam Weighell, Gemma Cutting and Imogen Townley along with newsman Chris Chambers (Chambo) will continue in some form.
The statement says: “Mark Kaye, Ian Longo, Liam Hincks and Darren Spence will be leaving Juice FM. They’ve all made a fantastic contribution to the station. Darren will continue with his weekend show on Heart North Wales and we’re looking for other opportunities for all the presenters within the Global family.”
Here’s a quick tour of Juice FM Liverpool by the breakfast team, recorded by RadioToday.
Juice FM launched on Friday 27 March 1998 as 107 Crash FM in Liverpool and was sold by UTV to Global earlier this year for £10m.
