Steve Le Fevre to leave BBC Radio Bristol

BBC Radio Bristol breakfast presenter Steve La Fevre has announced he’s leaving the station next month.

He tweeted the news yesterday, along with a photo of him in the studio, saying it has been a blast after his six year stint.

Many industry colleagues tweeted a reply wishing him well, to which Steve replied he’s looking forward to fresh challenges in 2016.

There’s no news on a replacement or if co-host Laura Rawlings is staying on, but we’ve asked BBC Radio Bristol for information and received this reply: Jess Rudkin, Editor of BBC Radio Bristol said: “We would like to thank Steve for everything he has done for BBC Radio Bristol over the last six years and wish him all the best for the future.”

Steve has worked at a number of BBC local radio stations, including Radio Ulster, Radio Leeds and Radio Newcastle. He also hosted Late Night Live on 5 live.
