Pete Morgan swaps radio for railway station

Breakfast presenter Pete Morgan took over the train announcements at Stafford railway station to mark his journey back to BBC Radio Stoke.

He celebrated his home-coming from Birmingham back to Stoke with a special stop halfway between the two cities at Stafford rail station.

He surprised commuters with his voice on the loud speaker. The station says it was a taste of the new show Morgan in the Morning which started this week, 7am – 10am on BBC Radio Stoke.

He is returning to the station after three years presenting the early breakfast show at BBC WM based in Birmingham. Previous to that he had been breakfast presenter at BBC Radio Stoke for five years.

Pete said: “Stoke holds such special memories for me and, when I left, I always felt that my time with the people of Staffordshire and South Cheshire wasn’t quite finished. I decided that it was right to stop resisting the pull, and come back to BBC Radio Stoke.”
