Breakfast show changes at Kerrang! Radio

Jake Thomson is taking over breakfast on Kerrang! Radio, replacing Kate Lawler.

Kate is leaving Bauer to work for UTV’s new national station, Virgin Radio, on afternoons.

As a result, Jake’s mid-morning show on Kerrang! will be hosted by Radio City’s Alex James. Alex will present on Kerrang! in addition to his Radio City shows. He has also previously presented the ‘In Demand’ evening show across the Bauer City England Network.

Elsewhere Loz Guest assumes control of the Kerrang! Chart while Jack Wood joined the team to host Sunday Mid-Mornings in January from University Radio Nottingham. Jack also presents overnights on Key 103.

Ric Blaxill, Content Director of Kerrang! Radio said “Jake Thomson takes over on Breakfast after a brilliant run on the morning show. Loz and Jack are extremely talented and of course we’re looking forward to welcoming Alex James to the station. The line-up have got the kind of music passion and radio experience to take Kerrang! Radio forward in 2016.”

Alex’s new Kerrang! Radio shows will start on Monday 29th February and Jake will take over Breakfast from Monday 7th March.
