Sam Jackson replaces Dick Stone at Smooth Radio

Classic FM’s Managing Editor is to take over from Dick Stone at Smooth Radio, in addition to his current duties.

Dick was appointed as Group Programme Director in 2013 as the station made the transition from Real & Smooth (GMG) to Global Radio, but now will be based back in Nottingham full time to focus as Regional Group Programme Director of Smooth on the Smooth network and continue as Managing Editor of Capital East Midlands.

Sam has been running Classic FM for the past four years and will now split his time between the two.

Smooth Radio also operates Smooth Extra on DAB across the UK.
