107 JACK fm Berkshire has teamed up with the local Lions Club and an advertiser to raise money for a prostate cancer testing day in Reading.
The radio station, together with advertiser M Collard Waste Management Services, raised £5,500 for a free Prostate Cancer PSA Blood Test evening at the town’s Circle Hospital tonight (10th March).
The station told RadioToday more about it: “M Collard ran an advert that pledged £5 for every skip they hired out during December 2015. The 1,100 sales during the campaign shows not only that radio advertising works for local businesses but that it can be a force for good”.
The cheque was handed over to Reading Lions by Mick Collard of M Collard Waste Management Services and Sir John Madejski, Chairman of 107 JACK fm Berkshire at the JACK fm studios in the Madejski Stadium.
