New weekday evening shows planned at Capital

Marvin Humes is moving to the Late Show at Capital as he moves from evenings on the network.

In addition, Roman Kemp is moving to the evening show Monday to Thursday.

Marvin will continue to host 7-10pm on a Friday, along with the Vodafone Big Top 40 on a Sunday. His new show is 10pm till 1am Monday to Thursday. He’ll also stay on an extra hour after the chart to host a new Capital Throwback hour from 7pm Sunday.

Roman has been a regular on the schedule for the last 18 months and will now presenter Monday to Thursday 7pm till 10pm and Sunday mid-morning.

Ashley Tabor, founder & executive president of Global, and Capital’s Managing Editor said: “These changes are the start of our new schedule at Capital. Roman has made a huge impact since joining us – his relationships with artists are superb, his instincts are spot on and he’s Capital through and through. I think he will make a real impact on the evening show with bags of great content and great pace.”

He continued: “Marvin’s tastemaker style is perfect for his new late show slot and he’ll bring a gravitas and presence to the late show which will work well both for him and for Capital. He’s the perfect choice to start our weekends on a Friday night and his new Capital throwback hour special right after the Vodafone Big Top 40 on a Sunday will be an exciting addition to Sunday nights on Capital.”
