Brian Johnson hosts special Planet Rock series

Brian Johnson has joined the team at Planet Rock to a brand new 5-part series called ‘The Producers’.

The weekly show sees Brian exploring the lives of some of the world’s most renowned rock producers including Queen’s Roy Thomas Baker, Metallica’s Bob Rock and Foo Fighters’ Nick Rasculiecz.

Listeners can hear insights from the men who have mixed their magic to bring rock’s biggest albums to life, from the tracks they love, to the anecdotes from their time sharing the studio with the bands they’ve worked so closely with.

Ric Blaxill, Content Director of Planet Rock said ‘The quality of rock producers that we interviewed required a series host with rock credibility and an in depth understanding of how producers work with bands to create a distinct sound. Brian is without doubt the perfect person to host the series with his incredible experience as a musician and as one of rock’s most distinctive vocalists ever. We are very honoured to have Brian joining Planet Rock for this landmark series.’

Brian Johnson added: ‘Having been fortunate to work alongside some of the best producers in rock, it’s great to be part of this show with Planet Rock. To be able to shine a light on how a producer captures a moment in the studio and turns it into rock and roll dynamite, is the dogs bollocks. Being able to listen to these guys talk about what they do best is a joy. Planet Rock is the authority for all things rock so, where else would one want to be for this kinda show?’

Listeners can hear the first episodes of the 5-part series online at planetrock.com and new episodes on Sundays at 7pm. Each show also repeats at 7pm on the following Wednesday between July 3 and 31.
