Details of the new look Radio TechCon event have been announced by the new organisers.
The event is taking place Monday, 28th November, 2016 at the Arts Theatre, Great Newport Street, London and is sponsored by Broadcast Bionics.
The agenda includes a session on making a studio ‘internet-fit’ beyond cameras and lights, masterclasses on everything you wanted to know about in-car and the connected dashboard but were too afraid to ask and a primer on Software Defined Radio (SDR), the technology that’s changing the face of broadcasting.
Speakers are confirmed from the BBC, Wireless Group, UK Radioplayer, Arqiva, Ofcom, Lime Microsystems as well as academics from the University of St Andrews and the University of Surrey and more.
Andy Buckingham, from Radio TechCon, says, “We’re thrilled to have Broadcast Bionics onboard as our primary sponsor for this year and we will have a small breakout area for demonstrations from them and other suppliers during breaks.”
More details are available here and discounted tickets available for members of The Radio Academy, Sound Women, RIG, SRA, IET and CMA, but contact your relevant organisation for details.
Radio TechCon is aimed at broadcast engineers, technologists and anybody with an interest in radio, audio, technology and engineering – including programme-makers and managers. It aims to take a deeper look into technical issues affecting the industry but remain as accessible as possible to all. The event, previously part of Radio Festival, returns under the new management of its former committee members, and will continue to be supported by The Radio Academy.
