ReelWorld Radio Academy 30 under 30 list

The Radio Academy and ReelWorld have unveiled this year’s 30 people under the age of 30 who are tipped to be the industry’s next generation of talent.

Now in its fifth year, the national search, which was created by The Radio Academy and is sponsored for the second year running by ReelWorld, identifies the most talented and exceptional future stars of radio spanning all areas of the industry.

The ReelWorld Radio Academy 30 Under 30 is open to anyone under 30 working in UK radio, from producers, sales people, journalists, presenters, production assistants and Pas to technicians, commercial producers and support staff.

Steve Parkinson, Group Managing Director, Bauer Media, Chair of the Radio Academy and one of the judges of 30 under 30, commented: “If the 30 Under 30 initiative is a barometer of the state of our radio and audio industry, then things are in rude health.

“Almost 200 entries took the judges nearly 18 hours of research, debate and deliberation. The final 30 demonstrate that our industry, across all sectors, has an up and coming generation of passionate and skilled people.”

Anthony Gay, Managing Director of ReelWorld added: “This is the third year we’ve supported the 30 Under 30 initiative and the quality of this year’s submissions was on another level. At ReelWorld we’re passionate about a successful future for radio but no one should take anything for granted. The 30 Under 30 is the perfect way to shout about the amazing talent in our industry who are ensuring radio remains strong and relevant.”
