XS Manchester is taking to the streets of Manchester to find the next king of comedy in a four-week battle of belly laughs.
The Communicorp station has teamed up with local brewery Joseph Holt for the search, with the entrants gaining air time on the radio, the chance to perform in front of a live audience and cash prizes. The winner will also get to present their own XS Manchester radio show.
Comedian and radio presenter, Justin Lee Collins will be spearheading the search and there will be four separate heats that will whittle out the pick of the bunch, followed with one final.
Heats will take place in Joseph Holt pubs across Manchester every Wednesday for four weeks, kicking off 21st September and running until 19th October where finalists will be put through their paces to be crowned XS Manchester’s King of Comedy.
