Weekend overnight presenter changes at LBC

Cristo Foufas has left LBC after six and a half years at the station, to be replaced by Matt Stadlen.

The changes come after Cristo announced he would be leaving the station and thanked all his LBC producers over the years most recently Chris Humphris and Managing Editor James Rea.

Posting on Facebook, he said: “I’ve nothing but love for LBC. As an in-the -closet teenager, I used to listen to this remarkable radio station through the night which spoke to all sorts of weird and wonderful, yet opinionated people. It gave me so much, and informed me there was a big world out there, beyond what I knew then, and it all came through my white, plastic, Sharp radio cassette player with a dodgy aerial! If you’d told me then I’d have spent so much of my life presenting this very show I listened to in my youth I’d have laughed in your face.”

The 1am – 5am Saturday and Sunday show will now be hosted by Daily Telegraph journalist and Newsnight regular Matt Stadlen.
