IRN Awards 2017 now open for your entries
Organisers of the IRN Awards are asking for entries to take part in the 2017 event.
The IRN Awards in association with Sky News celebrates and showcases the very best journalism in UK commercial radio. Whether it’s a news-making interview, a stand-out special feature, compelling sports and showbiz coverage or a knack for delivering the perfect bulletin, there’s an IRN Awards category for every station.
You can now enter the IRN Awards 2017 in the following categories:
News Team of the Year (hubs or stations over 1M TSA)
News Team of the Year (hubs or stations under 1M TSA)
Best News Special or Feature
Best Entertainment Story
Reporter of the Year
Newsreader of the Year (over 1M TSA)
Newsreader of the Year (under 1M TSA)
Best Sports Coverage
Newcomer of the Year
Student Journalist of the Year – supported by the BJTC
IRN Awards entry is free but only open to IRN Newslink client stations – with the exception of the Student Journalist of the Year category – and the entry must comprise material recorded originally between 1st January 2016 and 31st December 2016.
The entry deadline is 5pm, Tuesday 17th January 2017 whilst The deadline for the Student category is 5pm, Tuesday 31st January 2017.
The IRN Awards 2017 will be held at Sky Cinema at Sky Central in west London on Thursday 23rd March 2017. See more details at irnawards.co.uk.
