Sound Women take a final UK Tech Train ride

Sound Women is taking its Tech Train on a tour of the UK, during Saturday afternoons in November and December.

Tech Train is a series of training sessions, designed to, as they say, unbamboozle the bamboozling world of faders, desks, cables, sound and recording. To help women become more confident using the technology needed to make great radio.

On Saturday 19th November Tech Train is in Birmingham – then in Manchester on Saturday 26th November, and London on Saturday 3rd December.

Tickets are free to paying Sound Women members, and £25 to non-members. Spaces are limited and expected to sell out, so do book your ticket quickly today for Birmingham, Manchester or London.

By the end of the afternoon at Tech Train, attendees will understand sound in a whole new way, be able to run a studio desk, make audio content with a phone, and design their own sound effects.

Sound Women founder Maria Williams says: “Our members have been asking for technical training for a while now, so we’re really thrilled to be taking Tech Train around the country before Sound Women hangs up its headphones. These afternoons will be fearless, fun and full of tech tips and tricks. I just wish I’d been able to sign up for something like this when I started out!”
