Emma Clarke lands Hollywood Blockbuster role

Voice-over Emma Clarke has been cast as the voice of the Starship Avalon in the new Sony Pictures movie Passengers.

Announcing the news on her Facebook page, Emma said: “I’m super pleased to tell you about my role in the Hollywood movie ‘Passengers’ that will hit cinemas next week. I play the part of the Starship Avalon. WOOP! I really hope you enjoy the film.”

The big budget film stars Jennifer Lawrence, Chris Pratt, Michael Sheen, Laurence Fishburne and Andy Garcia. It’s about a spaceship, which Emma is the voice of, the ‘passengers’ on a journey across the galaxy to another planet.

Emma explains more on her blog: “I was contacted by Sony a few months ago asking if I’d be interested in trying out for the role. (Interested? Ha! You betcha.) And after I’d submitted a demo, I was told I’d got the part. Honestly, I couldn’t believe it. I’m so, so lucky.”

Emma is one of the most popular voices on UK radio, voicing commercials, imaging and more, along with corporate work and her role on the London Underground.
