Southampton radio presenter and manager dies

.

Awaaz FM station manager and presenter Rozi Sakhi Mughal has died just days after getting married.

Rozi died of a suspected brain haemorrhage on August 25 in Pakistan, having got married just three days earlier.

She joined the station three years ago and lived locally in Southampton. A statement on the radio station’s Facebook page says:

It is with deep regret that we wish to inform everyone of the sad loss of our dear sister, Station Manager and Presenter Rozi Sakhi Mughal who died yesterday in Pakistan.

Rozi was the Station Manager for Awaaz as well as the secretary for Muslim Council for Southampton. She was energetic, reliabale, a bubbly personality and truly the face of Awaaz. Still in her 20s, Rozi had travelled to Pakistan and just been married 3 days.

Her absence will be sorely missed and we ask that everyone prays for her departed soul and also for her family and in-laws who loved her so much to get through this difficult time.
