Real Radio Wales wins big

Real Radio Wales has been voted ‘GMG Radio Station of The Year 2009’ at the annual GMG Radio Awards in Manchester.

The station beat stiff competition from GMG Radio’s other 12 stations across the UK and Scotland include Smooth Radio, Rock Radio and other Real Radio brands.

Real Radio Wales were nominated in a number of categories, ultimately walking away with Station of the Year 2009, Sales Team of the Year, Best Newcomer – Jill Coomber (Station Co-ordinator) and Employee of the Year – Dave Wheadon (Senior Commercial Scheduling Executive).

Tony Dowling, Real Radio Wales Station Director said; “We have a hard working and dedicated team here who truly deserve this award and I am very proud to be a part of that team.”
