David Jensen joins Planet Rock

Planet Rock's new weekend schedule includes a new Sunday morning show with former Capital Radio presenter and David Jensen.
Jensen first hit the airwaves with “Jensen’s Dimension” back in 1968 with Radio Luxembourg, and now returns with ‘Another Dimension’ which will feature music from the lighter side of rock.

David said "I’m really looking forward to ‘Another Dimension’ on Planet Rock. It’s going to be fun reviving my first ever radio Luxembourg series by showcasing rarely heard songs by significant artists."
Another addition to the Planet Rock team is U.S. born Darren Redick, who will take over the afternoon show. Redick, brings his knowledge and passion on classic rock and described by Planet Rock’s Programme Director – Trevor White “as a real find, with a wealth of talent which he gained from working in rock radio in the America”.
Joe Bonamassa rounds off the weekend’s line-up changes with his new show. Joe is the hottest new guitarist and bluesman to emerge on the music scene in the last decade and his show will feature music with a blues edge. Show airs Sunday night 11pm.
The best bits of Alice Cooper’s breakfast show – ‘Best of Alice' will move to Saturday nights.
With all the weekend changes Rick Wakeman’s “Rick’s Place” will remain in its Saturday morning spot of 10am – 1pm. Rick who known as keyboardist for rock group Yes as well as having a successful solo career in music and on television, joined Planet Rock in 2006 and has seen his audience from strength to strength.
The station is also launching on Freesat on September 16th.
