Global Founder & Group CEO Ashley Tabor has announced the launch of the Global Academy at the Student Radio Conference; it aims to provide work experience and internships with Europe’s largest commercial radio group.
Speaking at the Student Radio Conference being held at Leeds University, he committed to providing more than 500 work experience placements per year on an ongoing basis.
In his first public appearance since founding Global Radio, Tabor said he had been looking for something to provide young people with the same sort of opportunities that he had in his early career.
“I have been trying to find a way, “said Tabor,” to harness the passion for radio amongst young people, and to provide them with encouragement and importantly access to the medium. In the coming years the Global Academy will ultimately create a supply of real talent to the commercial radio industry.”
