Global Radio has 15 nominations for this year’s Arqiva Commercial Radio Awards, including seven for Capital FM which goes up against Absolute Radio and Bauer’s Radio City 96.7 for Station of the Year.

Celador buys Swindon More Radio licence

Celador Radio has bought the FM local radio licence for Swindon from More Radio Ltd, taking the number of licences owned by the group to 14.

The station originally launched as Brunel FM in September 2006 by TLRC and has since been known as TotalStar and More Radio.

A suspected arson attack this morning at a transmitter site in Bristol has meant the BBC local radio station for the city and Jack FM have both been off the air.

Cables connecting transmission equipment to aerials were badly damaged in the blaze at the site on East Dundry Lane in the south of Bristol.

The company which owns Oxford radio stations Jack FM and Glide FM has launched a new consultancy which will manage the Jack FM brand across the UK and Europe on behalf of owners Sparknet.
