Juice 107.2 in first Christmas Toy Appeal

Brighton’s Juice 107.2 listeners have donated over 1,000 brand new toys to the city’s first ever Christmas Toy Appeal.

Organised by Juice 107.2’s senior sales and marketing Executive Pippa Atkinson and supported by a number of local companies, the Toy Appeal urged anyone that could afford it, to buy one extra Christmas present, donate it, unwrapped, at one of their designated drop off points across the City.

The toys were then collected over a period of six weeks, sorted by type and age and distributed to local children’s charities focusing on those that work to help the 20% of families living below the poverty line in Brighton and Hove.

Pippa Atkinson adds: “The people of Brighton and Hove have shown us the true spirit of Christmas by donating to the Appeal and thinking of those less fortunate than themselves. We have been overwhelmed with everyone’s generosity in helping us reach our target of 1,000 toys”.

The local charities in receipt of this year’s Toy Appeal donations were Fun in Action, Brighton Unemployed Centre Families Project, The Early Childhood Project, Brighton and Hove Unwaged Advice and Rights Centre, RISE, The Brighton Oasis Project, The Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital and The Salvation Army.
