The Radio Magazine suspends publication

The industry’s weekly newsletter has announced it is temporarily suspending publication and has written to subscribers to offer them a refund.

The move by the Radio Magazine – which is owned by Tindle Newspapers – follows the appointment of a new manager who says she is reviewing the look, content and style of the paid-for printed radio news outlet.

The Radio Magazine was set up in the early 90s by Howard Rose, who died in 2002, and continues to be published by Goldcrest Broadcasting Limited under the ownership of Tindle.

In a letter sent to subscribers over the last week, new manager Kelly Mitchell asked readers for their views on what content should appear in a relaunched publication.

Subscribers who have paid in advance for the magazine – which costs £106 per year – are being asked if they want a refund or to freeze their subscription and continue it on relaunch.
