Classic FM presenter John Suchet has officially opened The Classic FM Foundation Lecture Room at Nordoff Robbins’ HQ in Kentish Town, North West London.
The Global station has supported Nordoff Robbins since 2010 and has raised over £250,000 since the partnership started. £45,000 of that money has gone towards funding the new lecture room at the charity’s headquarters and forms part of their newly refurbished education suite.
John said: “We are delighted to continue funding Nordoff Robbins’ vital work by ensuring we can help them provide the perfect environment and resources required to train the next generation of music therapists.”
Dr Marcus Stephan CEO of Nordoff Robbins: “As well as being the UK’s leading private provider of music therapy, we also train music therapists to Masters level. This training is a key part of our work, securing the future of our profession.
“I would like to say a big thank you to Classic FM’s Managing Director Darren Henley and The Classic FM Foundation for their continued support and for leaving us with a lasting legacy for our students.”
