New breakfast for Star Radio Cambridge

Star Radio Cambridge and Ely has appointed comedian Terry Gauci as its new Breakfast Show presenter.

Terry started his entertainment career with Chiltern Radio at 14 years old as a technical operator. Before joining the UKRD station on May 12th Terry worked at community and local radio, in pantomimes, and on television.

His achievements include interviewing then Prime Minister John Major, and appearing in television comedy The Bottom Line; all while developing his comedy and impressions.

James Woodward, station manager at Star Radio, said: “Terry’s quick-fire sense of humour and upbeat attitude is a great addition to our team; he has a unique style, that’s what makes him engaging. Although he has only been with us for a few days, Terry has already made an impact with listeners and is getting fantastic feedback. He’s a passionate entertainer and the team at Star Radio would all like to welcome him aboard.”

Terry added: “I’m having so much fun presenting the Breakfast Show and the team at Star Radio have already helped me feel right at home. It’s fantastic to be back in the world of radio and I’d like to thank all of our wonderful listeners for welcoming me on board and supporting the show; without them, no one would listen to me.”
