Graham Norton misses BBC Radio 2 show
Graham Norton missing his BBC Radio 2 show yesterday has made headlines in the national newspapers today.
The Daily Mail reports the broadcaster appeared not to have told bosses he was ill, leaving co-presenter Maria McErlane to host the show on her own.
“However, Mr Norton seems to have recovered quickly, as he was seen walking his dogs in the early afternoon. The evening before the show he attended a party with TV chef Nigella Lawson,” the report says.
The news has also spread to the Express and the Mirror at the time of writing.
The show started as normal with his Wise Buddah jingle at 10am. After The Clash, London Calling, Maria said: “Fear not Graham isn’t taking hormones, it’s Maria McErlane his old mucker, I fear he has been delayed slightly but fear not he will be here.”
Graham hasn’t mentioned the report or the absences on his Twitter account but a BBC spokesman says “Graham is unwell and won’t be presenting his show today.”
