Lincs FM supports 102.2 mile charity walk

A group of volunteers have walked the 102.2 miles from Humber Bridge to Stamford Hospital and raised over £10,000 for the charity.

And Lincs FM supported the three day walk by LIVES Medics and First responders, who give up their time to respond to emergencies in their community.

Lincs FM’s Rob Hammond joined them for the last nine miles to give them a final push on the hottest day of the year so far. LIVES decided to walk the 102.2 miles to represent the frequency of Lincs FM.

Stephen Hyde, Fundraising and Marketing Officer for LIVES, was extremely proud of everyone who took part “It’s amazing, it’s going to save lives. People are understanding in the county how important LIVES is.”

So far the walk has raised £10.385 and continues to increase awareness about LIVES and encourage people to volunteer, potentially saving someone’s life.
