Pete Allison joins Capital FM Yorkshire

Capital Yorkshire has a new drivetime show starting next week, as Pete Allison takes over the programme.

The recently announced ReelWorld Radio Academy 30 under 30 member takes over from Adam O’Neill who’s moved to breakfast following Hirsty’s sudden departure in June.

Pete tweeted: “I’m joining @CapitalOfficial Yorkshire to present Drive! Weekdays, 4-7PM from next week. It’s a dream job and I’m so, so EXCITED.”

And followed it up with: “Thank you to everyone I’ve worked with at @absoluteradio and @BBCR1. I’ve had two brilliant years in London, but my motherland awaits.”

Alex Jungius, managing editor of Capital Yorkshire told RadioToday: “We’re delighted that Pete Allison, recently named in the ReelWorld Radio Academy’s ’30 Under 30′ list, is joining the Capital Yorkshire line-up. We look forward to Pete’s first drivetime show on October 13th.”

Pete has spent the last two years in London working at BBC Radio 1 and hosting programmes on the Absolute Radio stations.
