Ofcom launches Absolute Radio investigation

Ofcom has launched an investigation into Bauer Media’s Absolute Radio for a possible breach of its broadcast licence.

Details are still under wraps, with neither Ofcom or Bauer Media expected to announce details of what the investigation is centered around, but more information will be made public once completed.

The regulator usually launches an investigation after a complaint or complaints are received about a particular event or programme.

We’ve asked Ofcom and Bauer for a comment and will update this story with more details in due course.

Ofcom has also launched investigations on The Today Programme at BBC Radio 4, Iain Lee on BBC Three Counties Radio, Du Methay Bhool at Unity FM and Diverse FM.
