Former XFM presenter Danielle Perry is to host a new daytime show whilst Geoff Lloyd moves to a later 6pm start at Absolute Radio
The station has recently announced Leona Graham is replacing Russ Williams on the mid-morning show, meaning a new daytime line-up in the next couple of months.
Also, presenter Vicki Blight has decided to leave the station after five years and she will be replaced by George Godfrey on weekend early breakfast. George only started at the station a year ago, after winning the Student Radio Association competition – Demo Factor.
And former Radio 1 and XFM presenter Claire Sturgess will also join Absolute Radio to host the Classic Rock Party on Saturday nights and Sarah Champion is taking over as host of the Absolute 80s show on a Friday night as well as Sunday mornings.
Absolute Radio Content Director Tony Moorey said: “We’re incredibly excited about a workday line-up which combines incredible music passion from Danielle, with one of our audience’s most adored presenters in Leona and the fantastic humour and wit from Andy.”
Danielle Perry joins the station in July where she will host 4pm-6pm*. She will also host a re-vamped Sunday Night Music Club every week from 8pm, showcasing the best in new music.
Danielle Perry said “I’m really looking forward to joining the Absolute Radio team in July, focusing on the new look No Repeat Guarantee across the UK and fronting the Sunday Night Music Club – showcasing the bands and artists of the future.”
