BBC Radio Solent’s Alex Dyke in Conversation

An upcoming event by the Radio Academy South Branch will put presenter Alex Dyke in the hot seat.

Alex will be part of a social evening planned for Tuesday 16th June at BBC Radio Solent, where he’ll be talking about life, radio, the universe, and something special he’s been working on recently.

Newly appointed Radio Academy South Branch Chair Roy Martin told us: “Alex has worked in radio, a large amount of which was right here on the South Coast, for over 30 years. He’s now back at the radio station which gave him his break in 1984 and we’re sure he’s got a few stories to tell from his time at Radio Luxembourg to TLRC and even ESPN in Orlando.”

The event is free for members of the Radio Academy, including members of hospital, student and community radio in Dorset, Hampshire, Isle of Wight and surrounding areas, plus local BBC and commercial stations.

“Afterwards, there’s an opportunity to catch up with old radio friends who you haven’t seen in ages! Just invite them along – it’s free!,” Roy adds.
