Nicky Campbell honoured for Queen’s Birthday

A number of radio people have been recognised in the Queen’s Birthday Honours 2015, including 5 live presenter Nicky Campbell.

Nicky, who hosts the breakfast show on the BBC’s national news and sports station, has received an OBE for his work as Patron of the British Association for Adoption and Fostering.

BBC Radio 2 presenter Michael Ball gets an OBE for services to Musical Theatre. He hosts Sunday Night with Michael Ball from 7pm each week.

Also, Sally Aitchison, Managing Director of Bauer’s charity Cash for Kids, now has an OBE for services to Radio and charitable fundraising.

Congratulations also go to Robin Clayton for services to Hospital Radio (Leeds’ Radio Allerton) in West Yorkshire.

And finally, an OBE has been presented to Peter Horrocks, Lately Director, BBC World Service Group for services to Broadcasting.
