Management exit TeamRock as DAB ends

TeamRock is cutting its management team as four Directors depart the company.

Operations Director Alan Clarke, Commercial Director Jimmy Docherty, Digital Innovation Director Ciarán O’Toole and Managing Director of Content and Publishing Chris Ingham will all be leaving in order to let TeamRock operate with a smaller management team.

Alan was previously managing partner of ad agency The Bridge Advertising in Glasgow, whilst Jimmy and Ciarán joined the company on launch two years ago from Real and Smooth Radio in Glasgow.

A new MD has been hired, Tony Dowling, who is the former MD of Real Radio in Wales and more recently was MD of the South Wales Evening Post. Earlier this year, Michael Tobin OBE was also appointed as a non-executive director of the company.

TeamRock Radio is also dropping its DAB slot on the national commercial radio multiplex D1 this week, after two years on the platform. Instead, it signed up to a new deal with 7digital to make all of its programmes available to download, whilst continuing to stream 24/7 online.

TeamRock has reached one million registered users, four times its original target, most of which are based outside the UK.
