Iain Lee has left BBC Three Counties Radio, after presenting the breakfast show there for the last three years.
The controversial presenter has been tweeting hints that he has left the station, confirming he won’t be on the radio Monday morning, and saying he shall enjoy getting up at a reasonable time from now on.
And the BBC has confirmed to RadioToday that he is leaving: “Iain Lee will no longer be presenting his shows on the station but we want to take this opportunity to thank him and wish him well for the future.”
Another tweet from Iain said: “Thanks everyone. I’ve enjoyed every second of it. See you sometime in the future. X,” sugesting he hasn’t got another radio show lined up in the immediate future.
Iain has had to apologise a number of times over the years for comments said on-air, most recently he said sorry for the way he conducted an interview with a Christian Concern campaigner.
