Broadcast Bionics offers Skype TX for Radio

A new product for radio has been released by Broadcast Bionics, Skype and Microsoft.

Skype TX for Radio offers a service for radio broadcasters to get “more efficient and optimised production workflows”.

“By allowing broadcasters to integrate Skype seamlessly into phone calls, SMS and social media, Skype TX for Radio combines cost efficiency with easy-to-use features ideal for talk radio, remote hosts, guests and reporters in the field,” Skype says.

Skype TX for Radio delivers up to 16 lines from a Skype TX for Radio server (or virtual machine) and works with PhoneBOX alongside traditional telephone calls.

In addition, reporters can contribute immediately to update changing situations, sports commentary or results, without the need for taking specialist broadcast hardware into the field.

Skype TX for Radio will be on display at NAB in Las Vegas, this April 22-27th.
