Absolute Radio 90s rejoins D1 national mux

Absolute Radio 90s is going back on the Digital One national DAB multiplex, three years after making way for Magic.

The 90s station has only been available on local multiplexes since January 2015, after previously being national from August 2010.

However, the Bauer station will be available UK-wide on digital radio again from this Monday (29th January 2018), using the multiplex capacity that was recently being used by Magic Christmas and before that Kiss Fresh.

As well as broadcasting the main Absolute Radio shows, with separate 90s music, the station has specialist shows including The 90s Chart Show with Sarah Champion and Forgotten 90s with Chris Martin. The station’s also promising special programmes on Liam and Noel Gallagher over the weekend of 3rd and 4th February, which will include extended interviews, documentaries and live music performances.

Absolute Radio’s Content Director, Paul Sylvester said: “The 90s renaissance is stronger than ever and Absolute Radio 90s perfectly encapsulates the decade’s music and culture. Already a fully-fledged radio station with a brilliant line-up of presenters and programmes, we’re delighted to be able to share the station with an even bigger audience.”
