Allan Beswick for Breakfast

BBC Radio Manchester's lunch-time host Allan Beswick is moving to the breakfast slot from April 6th.

Allan has been a radio broadcaster for over 30 years, 22 of those with the BBC. He was popular during the first years of Red Rose Radio in Lancashire where he made a name for himself as host of the late night phone-in.
Allan Beswick said: "The Breakfast Show is hugely exciting as it sets the agenda for the rest of the day. I'm looking forward to sharing breakfast with listeners across Greater Manchester."
John Ryan, Managing Editor of BBC Radio Manchester said: "Allan is known for his straight talking, but he'll be on his best behaviour at breakfast time! Allan's knowledge and passion for this part of the world will provide the perfect start to the day."
From April, Heather Stott will broadcast from 9am until 12.40pm, followed by Manchester Now and Becky Want from 1pm until 5pm.
